When you look for a doctor, you are not only looking for someone who knows medicine. You are looking for someone who listens, who understands you, and who explains things calmly. For many families in Miami Gardens and Hialeah, that starts with something very simple: being able to speak in your own language. At PassQual Health, we want you to meet the people who will welcome you before you walk in for the first time. That way, your first day does not feel like a visit to an unfamiliar place. It feels like arriving somewhere you are already expected.
A team that serves you in Spanish and English
At PassQual Health, the whole team serves patients in Spanish and English at every visit. That includes the call to book, the front desk, the check of your vital signs, and the conversation with your provider. You do not need to ask for an interpreter. You do not need to bring a family member to translate. You can tell your story in your own words, in whichever language feels most comfortable to you.
This matters more than it might seem. When a person clearly understands what they are told, they ask more questions. When they ask more questions, they leave the visit with a clearer idea of the next steps. And when the team clearly understands what the person shares, it can support them better. That is why, for us, speaking your language is not an extra service. It is part of the way we work every single day.
We also know that many families in South Florida mix both languages in the same conversation. If you start in Spanish and finish in English, that is perfectly fine. Our team will follow along naturally.
Meet Dr. Hendry Pascual
Dr. Hendry Pascual leads the clinical team at PassQual Health. He is a physician licensed in Florida, license number ME143678. He completed his medical residency at UCLA, the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a USCIS-designated civil surgeon, a federal designation to perform the medical exams that are part of certain immigration processes. In addition, he holds the CHCQM-PHYADV certification, which recognizes his training in health care quality management.
But what patients mention most is not the titles. It is that Dr. Pascual takes the time to listen. He explains each step in plain words and makes sure you understand before moving on to the next topic. If something is not clear, you can ask again, without embarrassment and without being rushed. For him, trust is built little by little, one visit at a time.
Advanced practice nurses and bilingual medical assistants
Dr. Pascual works alongside a team of advanced practice registered nurses (ARNPs) and bilingual medical assistants. Each person on the team has a clear role in your visit. The medical assistants welcome you, take your vital signs, and go over the reason for your visit with you. The advanced practice nurses take part in your care and in following up on your questions after the visit.
What brings the whole team together is the same way of treating every patient: with respect, with patience, and with clear communication. It does not matter who sees you that day. You will receive the same warmth and the same attention to detail. And if you need something repeated, or explained in a different way, the team is there for exactly that.
What to expect at your first visit
If it is your first time with us, we suggest arriving a few minutes early. Bring a photo ID, a list of the medicines you take, and any recent results or medical records you have. If you like, you can write your questions down on paper or on your phone so you do not forget them during the conversation.
When you arrive, someone at the front desk greets you in the language you prefer and helps you with the forms. Next, a medical assistant walks you to the exam room. Then you talk with your provider about your health history, your concerns, and what you hope to get out of the visit. At the end, the team explains the next steps and tells you how to reach us if a question comes up later.
